How to Recruit using Facebook Plus… For Network Marketers

Using Social Media to Recruit

Would you like to learn how to be more effective prospecting on social media?

The world has changed since I started in the Network Marketing profession in 2006.  At that time, the CEO of my then company told us at the convention NOT to talk about the company on Facebook.  That is how new and I guess, scary Facebook was.  Today, if a CEO said that we would think they were crazy.  Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, Pinterest and Instagram are exciting, fun and wonderful ways for us to connect with family and friends AND amazing tools to connect with potential customers and potential business partners.  I did not think that 4 years ago.  I went into this world kicking and screaming because I couldn’t imagine that I had more inboxes!  My assistant (much younger than me) told me that someday I would wonder how I ever lived without it.  And I get it now.   Since then, I have added Linked In, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.  Who would have thought?  Believe me, not me a few years ago!

It is great to be more connected with your tribe using all of these tools.  And yes, you can make money using Facebook and all the social media sites for your network marketing business.  I have recruited over 65 people in the past year using primarily Facebook.   Once I got serious about this, I realized how if I could figure out how to recruit using Facebook, then so could you.

Prospecting on Social Media is fun

AND there are some guidelines you want to pay attention to.  In this upcoming webinar,  I walk you through some key points.  They really would apply for any business but especially important for our network marketing community.  The key is to connect with people – just like you do in person.  It has to be more about them than you.  You don’t walk up to somebody in a coffee shop and slam your product or webinar in front of them.  That isn’t how you start the conversation, right?  Well, sending your link to a person you don’t know feels very similar.  It takes time to build rapport.  Get to know people and find out if you would even want to work with them.    Take the time…

The webinar is for all network marketers and entrepreneurs and will take place this Friday, May 16th at 12:00 noon PST.  Here is the link to register:

Here is a quick sample of one of the topics I will cover.

Recruiting on Facebook

I know this webinar will give you some ideas as to how to make better connections and how to recruit using Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, Twitter and Pinterest.

Those are my favs these days.  Choose one or two to master first.  Don’t get overwhelmed.  That really is a state of mind and a choice.  And a daily practice not to get overwhelmed.  Just break it down.  Organize your thoughts and your posts at the beginning of the week.  If you are new to this world, get comfortable with one.  You can have great success mastering one!   Once you get going, your team will start following your lead.  Just imagine that you have more people coming into your business every single week because your team GETS how to do this. Which means you and your team have figured out how to make money using Facebook plus… Prospecting on social media is something that you definitely can learn and then can teach.   There is a sense of accomplishment when you start to figure this out too.  I had a great conversation with a gal yesterday that “found” me on Instagram.   When someone says, I “found” you on Linked In or Facebook, you know you are doing something right.  Here’s to getting found more often!

How Network Marketing Changed My Life

“This is going to be big.” I remember having that thought when a good friend of mine introduced me to a new product and opportunity she had recently learned of. I had never been involved in network marketing and knew nothing about the industry, but those words rang in my head. This. is. going. to. be. big.

I enrolled as a distributor that very day and, since then, my life has changed completely in every way. Here’s my story…

My life changed PHYSICALLY.

I have found over the years that some of the best products on the market are distributed through the network marketing model. I am currently building a business with Jeunesse and sharing our nutrition and anti-aging skincare line based on adult stem cell technology. After just six weeks of using our Luminesce skincare products, my esthetician told me I had a 50% reduction of fine lines on my face! What a feeling to turn back the clock on aging and witness such wonderful changes.

My life changed FINANCIALLY.

When I was new to the network marketing world, I set a goal to become a millionaire. I didn’t know exactly how to achieve it, but with commitment and persistence I stayed the course, and I achieved my goal of building a multi-million dollar business in just two years. I still have to pinch myself sometimes… Wow, I love this industry! What I love about this business model is it levels the playing field. I have many friends who went from barely getting by to living big because they went for it and succeeded in network marketing.

My life changed SPIRITUALLY.

I often say, one of the best things about having a network marketing business is the person you get to become. You have the opportunity to step into bigger shoes, for your own personal development and for the world. We have such an incredible culture of giving back, and the level of person that is attracted to this business is inspiring. If you are ever in a bad mood, go hang out with a group of network marketers and you will be inspired and uplifted. Throughout my journey in network marketing, my existing friendships have become even stronger as we build our businesses together. The relationships that I developed along the way have been just as fulfilling.

My life changed ROMANTICALLY.

What? Yes, it did! This one came out of left field, I must admit. I was chatting with a good friend and fellow network marketing millionaire, and our conversation turned to love. My friend announced, “You know what Kathleen? I’m going to go home and find someone for you.” True to her word, a few weeks later, she sent me a picture of Mark with his mom and sister. We met soon after that, and now he is my husband. True story!

How about you? Have you ever said yes to something great that turned out to be even better than you imagined? Share your comments below!

Direct Selling: The Career of the Future

Career of the Future this way…

When I was first presenting with a network marketing opportunity, I knew absolutely nothing about the direct selling industry. Now I know it is the career of the future. Nine years and millions of dollars later, I have found my dream career and have no plans to ever go back to the corporate world.

Some of the most successful people in the world are huge fans of the industry and consider direct selling to be the career of the future:

Robert Kiyosaki, best selling author of “Rich Dad Poor Dad,” says of this career of the future, “Network marketing gives people the opportunity, with very low risk and very low financial commitment, to build their own income-generating asset and acquire great wealth.”

Warren Buffet purchased a network marketing company and called it, “The best investment I ever made.”

Donald Trump, when asked what he would do if he had to start over and build his wealth from scratch said, “I would get into network marketing.”

In a message to direct selling professionals, Bill Clinton says, “You strengthen our country and our economy, not only by striving for your own success, but by offering opportunity to others.”

What do all four successful individuals understand about this career of the future? This video about the Current State of the Direct Selling Industry does a great job of explaining why this industry is actually the best kept business secret in the world.

Watch this video about the career of the future:

Here are just a few reasons direct selling is the career of the future:

Number 1 Reason Direct Selling is the Career of the Future: People trust personal recommendations.

Have you ever recommended a new restaurant or movie to a friend? I know I have! Did the restaurant owner or movie producer send you a check in the mail for the business referral? Didn’t think so. A word of mouth recommendation is the most powerful form of marketing. The direct selling business model is the career of the future because it is built around this natural inclination. We can’t help but share the wonderful things we come across. The only difference here is that, in the direct selling industry, we get paid to share these products! If you’re passionate about the products, you will recommend them to the people in your life, earning huge paychecks for doing what you would do anyway!

Number 2 Reason Direct Selling is the Career of the Future: Home-based business boom is accelerating.

We all know someone who was set to retire on their hard-earned pension or social security only to be rudely awakened to the harsh reality that the nest egg they were depending on has disappeared. Depending on the government or a big corporation for your financial future simply isn’t feasible anymore. What used to be considered the “safe bet” is now a financial gamble. As a culture, we are becoming more entrepreneurial and the career of the future is about creating our own shots through business. I must say, it is pretty fun being my own boss! I get to decide when I work (schedule flexibility), who I work with (only positive people), where I work (my home office or on a beach), and what I work in (yep, sometimes it’s my robe)!

Number 3 Reason Direct Selling is the Career of the Future: Low start up cost. High earning potential.

career of the future!

Before I got involved in the direct selling industry, I was considering starting up my own local business. As I got deeper into the research of what it would cost to start this business (and how much work it would involve), I had to reconsider. I was looking at putting my entire life savings into the business, PLUS taking out massive business loans. What’s more, there would be no guarantee of making even one dollar. That’s what I call high risk! Even purchasing an existing franchise requires a lot of work and costs many tens of thousands of dollars to get started. When I learned that my direct selling company does all the hard work — creating the products, manufacturing and shipping, sourcing ingredients, dealing with legal patents, and so on — I thought, “All I have to do is share it?”

Best of all, the investment to start my very own direct selling business was a small enrollment fee, some product to share, and some promotional tools. That sure beats hundreds of thousands of dollars! In just shy of two years in the industry, my initial investment became millions of dollars! This is exactly why the direct selling industry levels the playing field. Where else can you find a hundred dollar price tag on a multi-million dollar opportunity? Are you starting to see why this is the career of the future?

Number 4 Reason Direct Selling is the Career of the Future: Residual income.

Residual income is money that keeps coming in long after you’ve done the work to create it. After I had built my network marketing business to the multi-million dollar level in just two years, I decided to reward myself with a six week vacation in Europe. I was essentially away from my business for 10% of the year, and yet the checks still came in. Every. single. week. Big checks too! Most income streams in the form of a job or a traditional business dry up as soon as you stop working. The career of the future is about residual income. The momentum you create in a direct selling business means you get paid over and over again.

Number 5 Reason Direct Selling is the Career of the Future: Leverage.

As you build your career of the future and shop for the direct selling company that’s right for you, make sure you are asking, “How duplicatable is this business model?” The simpler that business model, the better. It is for this reason that my friends and I have set ourselves financially free with this opportunity. When you have a job, you are the one doing all the work. When you build a direct selling team, it is the combined effort of everyone on your team that earns money for you! Everyone pitches in a little bit, and everyone gets paid. Collaboration and leverage are integral to the career of the future.

The question isn’t can you afford to do direct selling and build your lucrative career of the future. The question is can you afford not to?
