5 Reasons to Never Give Up on Your Dreams!

Throughout my career, there have been times when it seemed easier to quit than to keep going.   Sometimes, the amount of work it takes to get where you want to go can just seem too much.  There were times when I felt envious of my friends that were going to cocktail hours and relaxing at home watching TV when I was working.  Night after night of home parties was exhausting at times.  There is a tradeoff to get what you really want.  You have to give in on something in order to really go for what you want. Sometimes it can feel like things aren’t working out and there is nothing you can do about them. I am here to tell you, when things get hard, don’t give up! Life is about “failing” and learning. And I say “failing” in quotes, because honestly there are no real failures, just lessons.  Just a chance to do better next time.  The most successful people, fail forward.  Follow your dreams and never give up on them. Here are 5 reasons to never give up on your dreams that have helped me in times of doubt.

1. Failure is a part of life. Understanding this can be a great motivation to never give up on your dreams. If you find you are failing at certain aspects of your business, don’t panic. Failure is a learning experience. It’s how we figure out what to improve on. Some people stop dead in their tracks when pursuing their dreams because they are so afraid of failure. Don’t be one of them.  The worst thing that can happen is you find out that technique or that closing or that approach didn’t work so well.  So you fine tune it and you are better the next time.

2. You don’t want to spend your life wondering…”what if?” We only have one life to live, don’t reach the end of it wishing you had followed your dreams. If you have always wanted to be a rockstar, then pick up a guitar and start taking lessons. Your life will be better because of it. It helps to really narrow down your dreams and describe them in detail. Starting is often the hardest part! By breaking your dreams down into smaller goals, you can work your way to the top.  Think about what you would say to your kids about their dreams.  Of course, you would tell them to go for it.  Treat yourself the same way.

3. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, as the saying goes. One way to never give up on your dreams is to keep pushing. Stay persistent and it will give you strength. Take riding a bike for example. It is one thing most of us learn to do as children (and one of the most painful, lol.) It takes us several tries and scraped knees, but at the end of the day we become stronger for it and more likely to succeed in our next venture.  Sometimes, life can throw you too many curve balls at once and you can feel like, okay, I have enough character already but it is true, it all does weave together to become our story, to be a part of our journey.  Never take for granted or assume you know what someone else has been through.  It is amazing when we really take the time to listen to an older person’s life story, how much challenge and hardship there has usually been mixed in with all the good things.  If you were 90 years old, what would you say today to your younger self?  What would you want the younger you to do?

4. It’s about the journey, not the destination. How many people do you know that went to college for one subject, but then ended up working in a totally unrelated field? When you have a dream, it can lead you to new dreams. By pursuing our dreams, we learn more about ourselves and what we really want. If we never try, we not only never know if we could do it, we lose all of the growth that happens along the way.  My very favorite part of the network marketing profession is the personal development that happens along the way.  Proof that the journey is the best part.  Achieving a rank is great, but who did you become in the process of getting there?

5. Your dreams inspire others! This is so important in the network marketing profession. By never giving up on my dream to reach one of the highest ranks in my company, I know I have inspired many people who are now very valuable team members. People want to work with leaders who inspire them. Who set the example.  When you share your dreams with your team, then they in turn are encouraged to share theirs.  You never know what sharing your story will mean to someone sitting in the audience.  Someone may come up to you years later and say that the day you spoke, they made a decision that changed their life.  Our words, our examples, our stories are so incredibly powerful.  Never take for granted how meaningful it is to dream your dreams AND to go for them.  One foot in front of the other.  People really are watching!

I hope this has give you more reason to never give up on your dreams! If you ever get discouraged or start feeling negative, use one of my favorite tricks. Take a pencil and a piece of paper and write down dreams you are thankful for that you have accomplished. Think of how you felt when you achieved that dream and let the negativity slowly melt away. Keep on dreaming and don’t forget…NEVER GIVE UP!

I recently read something from Benjamin Franklin that really stuck with me. “Among the many truths I have witnessed: Wealth is not his who has it, but his who joyfully shares it.” Sometimes we get so caught up in our work and everyday lives, that we forget to give back. Franklin understood that the happiest people were those who shared their success with others. I believe that generosity is the key to success! Understanding this can not only change your outlook on life, but your business as well!  People are drawn to people that really care and that give from a place of abundance, no matter what their financial situation is.

Giving Back Gives Us Purpose….

One of the most important benefits of giving back is the feeling you get when you do it! Money cannot buy you happiness. When we help others and utilize our skill sets for the greater good, we get a wonderful sense of achievement. I once read an article about a case study in retirement homes. Dozens of people were interviewed on their deathbed and asked what are the things they wish they had done in their life. The number one answer was – I wish I had done more things that make me happy. To me this means focusing on much more than monetary success. This means happiness based helping others more instead of helping ourselves. (sounds like our business model!) You have a major advantage now because you know one thing you can do to improve your entire life: help others and do what you love! You can also apply these concepts to your business.

Your Team Should Feel Good About the Community!

Generosity is the key to success!

Giving back creates goodwill. This will give everyone on your team a feeling of happiness that acts as a great source of motivation. You can’t motivate people, that comes from within, but you CAN inspire them! Having a company that focuses on giving back will make for a stronger, happier and more motivated team.

One thing that I love about my business is that we have a built in system that allows us to donate money to charities around the world. This program is giving children the rights they should’ve had from birth: the claim to health, the opportunity to learn, and the protection they need to grow. I know that every time my business sees success, it is shared with others. How does your business give back to the world?

My Top 8 Network Marketing Tips for Beginners…

Sometimes I stop to think about when I first started in the Network Marketing profession. If I knew everything I know now, things would have been much easier! I would like to share some of my best network marketing tips with you so that you can build your business and cash flow.

If I were a beginner in network marketing:

1.  Start with a great daily routine. If you want to be a top earner, you must be willing to make sacrifices and change your current behaviors to make way for new ones. I like to keep an online copy of my daily routine and check items off the list as the day goes on.  (I am known to be one of those people that puts things on the list that I have already done, just so I can check it off.  ..)

One of the most important network marketing tips…pay attention to “speed works”.  Try to build your cash flow from you business quickly, what I mean by that is you can build this business quickly with speed or you can build in slow and it may be painful.  Go all out – sponsor as many people as you can in your first 90 days.  And teach your teammates to do the same thing.  And if you have been in awhile, then do another burst of energy and go all out for 90 days.  We can do much in 90 days!  Think of it like a sprint.  This business works best when you build it with several sprints.  In terms of training, you don’t have to reinvent the wheel. Plug into your company training and your upline system.  Do your research online and watch as many network marketing training courses as you can. Build on what is already out there for you!

3. Make sure that the company you join with is internet and social media savvy. Social media is one of the greatest tools in your network marketing toolbox. You want a company that encourages you to share your products online.  Facebook alone has changed how we can build this!  I love the team culture you can create with team facebook group page.  It can be a major asset for your team.  I love and embrace many of the social media sites, instant presenter and screen flow for videos to youtube.  Create videos on a regular basis for your youtube account.  The more value and content you create, the bigger your BRAND is and the more people find you and want to partner with you.

4. Do you love the product you are selling? If you are not excited about the product and don’t use it regularly, it may not be the right company for you. You want people to see how enthusiastic you are about it so they too will be excited.  You have to be a product of your product!  Your own testimonial about your products and services will make all the difference for you.  Keep it real.  Keep it genuine.  And use both your product AND business testimonial to grow your business.  Get good at sharing this – this is your story and you will repeat it many, many times as you build your success.  Get excited about sharing your story at company events and home parties.  Be enthusiastic about your product or service.  A mentor said to me years ago “Can you stay excited about this for a very long time?”  It can’t be the same old, same old to that brand new person you are talking to.  They need to feel like you are as excited and happy about this as the day you started.  Top 8 Network Marketing Tips for Beginners - Go to events!

5. Events are extremely important, and I cannot stress that enough! Events help you build your network and keep you up-to-date with new things happening in the company.  Always, always attend your big company events and bring as many people as you can.  The people there with the most people make the most money.  It is a principle that works in our profession.

6. Have a long term plan. You can incorporate all of these network marketing tips into a daily plan and long term plan. Challenge yourself, but make your goals achievable. I like making dreamboards that I can keep as a reminder of the things I want to accomplish.  I will create a video on the power of dream boards soon.  Give this enough time.  This isn’t about getting rich quickly.  It takes work and time – but it is so worth it!

7. Create your own library of tools that you can share with your team. Hopefully your upline can help you with this, but if not, then you have to put it together so it is simple and duplicatable.  If you freeze when you sponsor or enroll someone because you don’t know what to do with them next, that won’t create the team you want.  Make sure you know absolutely what to do next! Give people all of the tools they need to succeed. I store all of my images, videos and worksheets online so they are easily accessible.

8. Be the leader you want to attract. This will shine through everything that you do. If you want to have a strong team, you must set the example.  Act as if you are that leader.  You CAN learn the skills that make a difference in our business.  The ones that win are the people who show the most presentations.  It is that simple.  Become that leader that you hope to have in your business and one day you will attract that person to you.

When I started in the network marketing industry, the idea of autoship was very new to me, and at first a bit intimidating. People can be nervous about a monthly commitment.  Once I learned more about the industry, it became very clear to me that in order to build a successful business you need autoship. I am going to share with you what I have learned over the years and why autoship is important in network marketing.

Do you love the product?

Why is autoship important in network marketing? You use your own product!

Do you love the product you are trying to sell to others? You should be actively using your product! If you aren’t, that may be a good sign that you should evaluate the company you chose to go with. If you love the product and actively use it, investing on average $100 towards it a month should be a no brainer. One reason why autoship is important in network marketing is it keeps YOU actively using your product. You have to become a consumer of your products.  Your own testimonials will be worth their weight in gold for you.  When you use your products, you are also investing in your business. You are leading by example and showing the people you work with the importance of autoship.

You can think of autoship as overhead. It is part of the cost of doing business.  Not only is using your product setting an example, it is also providing cash flow to your business. Without autoship and lots of happy customers ordering every month, you will constantly have to hustle to reach the numbers needed to keep your business going. When you can count on a constant amount of money coming in, you can focus on the expansion of your business instead of playing catch-up. Autoship is the financial backbone to your business. A mentor told me years ago that we should think of autoship as sacred territory.  Without selling volumes of product, there can be no substantial cash flow. Autoship keeps product sales steady as you build your team and business.  This is where the residual income comes in too.  Most importantly, your team will do what you do.  If you aren’t on autoship and don’t teach others to be on autoship, you won’t get that boulder up the hill.

So how do you deal with people who are resistant?

If the people you are working with don’t understand why autoship is important in network marketing here are a few things you should consider. Are you making a big enough deal about it? When you sponsor someone, you should make it really clear that they should be on autoship. And explain to them it isn’t for you but for them because their team will do whatever they do.  By talking about this from the get go,  you are building a standard from the ground up.  In the beginning of a new distributor’s business is when you want to be teaching about how important autoship is.

If the people you are working with are resistant to spending around $100 a month to invest in their own future, you may want to consider the level of commitment they have to the business. They can be customers and order when they want and we all want lots of those too.  However, the business builders should have enough customers to cover their autoship costs. Be sure you are focusing your time and energy on committed team members! Don’t sell yourself short.

I just gave a presentation at our Las Vegas Convention about Leadership.  It was an honor to be presented as a new Diamond on stage and to talk about Leadership.  Leaders still get a bit nervous too.  🙂

Let’s get started on how to develop your leadership skills.  Do you feel like your leadership skills are lacking? Is your network marketing team as successful as you want it to be? Not everyone is born to be a leader. The good news? You can develop your leadership skills! The first step to being a better leader is self analyzation. Learn to understand yourself first. Are you the kind of leader who helps solve problems? Are you the kind of leader that helps people get along? Do you connect well with people?

Your Leadership Style

There are many leadership styles in network marketing, but you should focus on creating your own way, not copying someone else. One of the best ways to develop this style is to speak to a group of people, even just close friends. Ask them when you are done, what they liked best. It is this trait that you should focus on. That is your unique gift and style.  What people have told me after presentations is that they love listening to me and that I make complicated things seem simpler.  That is my unique gift.  Pay attention to what yours is.  The conversational way I interact with people as a leader makes people feel relaxed and receptive.  How do you make people feel?  How do you leave them feeling?  Leaders know how important this is and in network marketing, it is everything.  We get paid very well to listen to people and to find out what is going on in their lives and then help them find a solution.  If you come from a place of service, you can build a great team with a great culture too.

Being a good leader means LISTENING. The reason we are successful in network marketing is because we are finding out what people need and want. Developing your leadership skills means meeting people where they are.  We all come to this with a different set of skills and experiences.  There are no overnight successes.  When you see someone move quickly through the ranks, it is because they most likely bring years of experience to this table.  The good news is you can learn the skills necessary to be successful in network marketing.  This is the best on the job training I have ever seen!

Good mlm leaders are adaptable.  Some situations require you to be strong, some to be gentle, some to be kind and sometimes to be courageous.  Stepping up isn’t always easy, but it so worth it!

Want to be a good leader?

Qualities of A Strong Network Marketing Leader

Leaders take initiative. Do you act like a business owner? Do you wait for your upline? Are you a self starter? Do you take your business and yourself seriously? These are some serious questions you should ask yourself.  Developing your leadership skills means taking things into your own hands instead of waiting for someone else to do it for you.

A great leader encourages and inspires others. Become a leader YOU would want to follow. Leaders know that they will attract the leader they want in their business by becoming that type of leader.  Try to stay positive and optimistic, even when others aren’t. There will always be things to complain about.  What do you choose to focus on?

Remember you are the rock for your team, stay consistent with the activities.  Continue to enroll and to train.  You will be amazed at what happens for you in your business when you focus on the activities.  The results will come!

Be a better leader to your team!

Leaders know Network Marketing consists of a volunteer army! We are not bosses in this business.   No one I know needs more authority figures in their lives…  Learning to inspire and influence is key.  Good leaders are also prepared to become unimportant and have their egos in check. Kindness and empathy are very important leadership skills. Do you communicate in a way that people will listen? When you understand where someone is coming from, you can better understand how to motivate them!

Warm Market Prospecting Tips

Here are some of my best warm market prospecting tips!

Wondering how to build your warm market? A brand new distributor comes with only three things: fear, a small or large order of product and a close circle of family/relatives/close friends who will help them with almost anything one time if asked. This is the same natural behavior as if they started any business – like a restaurant, or dress shop. Family/close friends will always show up on opening day and will purchase to show support. The quality of the food, dresses or in network marketing, the product itself will determine if they ever buy again.

The Approach with this in mind, this HOT Market conversation is literally less than 90 seconds with a decision response that is nearly immediate – if you ask the right way.  They want to say yes!

Tips on building your warm market!

Scripts to help build your very warm or hot market…

Here is the language of the approach when the close circle member answers the phone (product): “Hi Aunt Cindy, this is Lisa …. I just started a new home based business… I am not asking you to join it or even to become a customer but I am going to ask for your help… I would like you to buy a month supply of my product, use it and give me your feedback – which will really help me… It’s $xx including shipping. If you like it you can become my customer… I will even show you the business if you want… If you don’t like it you never have to buy it again… Can I count on you?”

If they say no, the graceful out is “Hey Aunt Cindy, that’s not a problem. But there is another way you can help. If you can think of anyone over the next week or two that might benefit from trying my product, would you refer them to me? Thanks so much.”

Here is the approach by text (you can have a MASSIVE amount of fun team texting events with this one): Text 1: “Hi Aunt Lisa. I just started a business and could really use your help – it’s very simple. Text me back so I can give you some details. Thanks…”

Best ways to build your warm market.

Text 2 when they respond: “I need 10 trial consumers to give me feedback on my product – a high end serum or masque or ??? I would like you to buy 1 xxx (bottle, case, box, etc.), use it every day for 30 days – your honest feedback can help me market more successfully. It’s $xx including shipping. Let me know if I can count on you to be one of my 10. Thanks.”

This works really well for when your company launches a new product or even if a product isn’t brand new.  Remember, it is all new to your hot market when you first get started or when you have products that you haven’t shared with them yet. Text 3: “Hi Aunt Lisa. My company just launched a new product – a lifting masque. Can I count on you to be one of my customer testimonials? The cost is $xx including shipping.”

The words “Can I count on you?” are very powerful to the family and close friends that definitely want us to be able to count on them.  Use these scripts to reach out to the people that you would call to come help you with a flat tire or to come to your restaurant opening.  If you ask the right way, your family and friends want to be able to help you.  The minimum you will get out of this is some customers and some referrals.  And you will most likely get a promising business builder or several.

Doesn’t this sound easier than running after them trying to get Uncle Bob and Cousin Linda to get in your new business?  Sometimes our over eagerness in the beginning really turns off the people we love the most.  And remember, don’t be attached to the outcome.  You still have a great opportunity and future whether they say yes or not.  But I promise you, you will have a lot more yes’s when you ask and text like this.

My Daily Routine for MLM Success

One of the best ways to build your MLM success is to have a daily routine that keeps you on track with generating leads. You always want to have more people to talk to and to have an on-going list of people to talk to.  Over the years I have narrowed down my daily routine tasks to the top 10 and I am going to share them here with you!

My daily routine for MLM success…

1. Read affirmations and express gratitude.

Positivity is key. I like to start my day off by reading something positive and expressing gratitude for what is in my life. I keep a gratitude journal that I write in often.  I have a better day when I keep this focus.  Ask yourself why are you so successful and you will be amazed at the answers you will find to support that question.

2. Review goals.

Reviewing my goals helps me stay on track with completing them. I use checklists to keep me organized and cross things off as I go.  I read the other day that all of our inboxes are just someone else’s agendas for our day.  Revisiting my goals on  a regular basis really helps me stay on track and take care of the big things on the list.

3. Keep learning. 

I suggest reading 15 pages of a personal growth book. This will introduce new ideas into your business and keep you one step ahead.  Your business is the size it is right now because of where you are in your skills.  The best way to build a bigger business is to stretch YOU.

My Daily Routine for Success

4. Walk or exercise. 

Exercise is so important. Regularly exercising keeps our bodies healthy and our minds sharp. Taking a walk at the beginning of the day will boost your metabolism and give you natural energy for a productive day.  Plus we so weren’t meant to sit in front of a computer for hours on end.  I have to remember to get up and move and stretch – and I am trying to use a more ergonomic workstation too.  Taking care of our bodies is key to a long and healthy life and positive mindset.  I have been visiting with a lot of older people lately at my mother-in-laws apartment building – you can tell the ones that have taken good care of themselves….

5. Make 2, 5 or 10 new calls to new prospects/Facebook connects.

In order to build your business and mlm success, you need to generate leads. I suggest making about 2 to 10 new calls a day to prospects. Texting is another great way to generate leads. Keep it simple and conversational. Check out my blog post on how to become successful in MLM recruiting for tips on this subject.  Keep the conversations with NEW prospects each day and each week a major priority.  We get paid very well to keep talking to new people.  Getting into what we call “management” mode in this business is not a good idea!

6. Make follow up calls and schedule on-on-one appointments.

This is one of my best tips from my daily routine for MLM success – the fortune is in the follow up! Make follow up calls party of your daily routine and you will see a huge increase in scheduling one-on-one appointments.  Sometimes it takes calling people several times, but until they say NO, they are still on your list.  One on ones are a great tool to get to know someone and to bridge the gap between a prospect and a distributor in your business.  Sometimes picking up the phone feels like the last thing we want to do, when you feel that way it means you must pick up the phone.

7. Attend weekly trainings. 

Teamwork makes the dreamwork! Use your team resources to stay up to date with all the lastest news for your mlm business. Phone calls and webinars are great times to ask questions and connect with your teammates.  Weekly trainings can be in person or online.  The most important person you sponsor every day is YOU.  Make sure you are listening to inspired teachings so you feel “signed up” every day.

8. Host home party/attend a home party or host/attend an online webinar.

I believe Home Parties/Home Business Reviews are still very effective especially when you are just getting your business started and/or you want to jumpstart your business.  And this is true for most of your team too. Try to host and attend as many parties as possible!  Again, in person is great.  Home parties are great ways to build rapport and to share information.  And in today’s world, online webinars are fantastic too.  Sometimes it is wonderful to bring everyone together without anyone having to leave their home!

Social media to build your MLM business.

9. Post to your social media accounts.

Post positive and inspirational messages on Social Media. Follow the 80/20 rule: 80% personal or inspiring, 20% business. You want to put out great content that is of value to people. Avoid over promoting your business, people don’t want to constantly see ads.  The more value you bring to the table, the more people you are helping = a bigger business.  When I first got started in the profession almost 9 years ago, social media was not a part of how we built our businesses, it was all too new then.  Today, I can’t imagine building without Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Linked in and Twitter!

10. Promote the next event.

Always always promote your company events! You can use a variety of methods to promote it including, social media, email, text and phone calls.  I don’t know a single high ranking network marketer that has achieved that rank without going to the big company events.  We build this business from event to event and the more people you bring to an event, the faster your business will grow.

What are the biggest mistakes network marketing leaders make?

MLM recruiting is all about networking and talking with as many people as possible. This is a numbers game.  However, there is a good strategy for this. Give yourself a daily goal for contacting possible leads and come up with a script for what you will say. When you consistently use the same message, you can track its effectiveness. Focus on the activities, not the results.  The beginning is the hardest part.  I always say your first 50 people in the business are the most difficult.  The next 50 are much easier!  Here are some sample scripts.

Select a tool from your business to share the needed information with them.  The key is to use a tool to share.  Your prospect will be asking if they have time to do this based on how long it takes you to share the message.  They will be asking if they can do this too based on HOW you share it with them.  So point to a tool.  Make it easy and short.

How to be successful in mlm recruiting

Many people don’t know how network marketing works and can react negatively when you are pitching them. This is something every network marketer has experienced at one point or another. My own family really gave me a hard time when I first started.  My Mom was still trying to talk me out of it when I was making great money.  They get it now.  (Don’t worry about the ones that say no….) I have found the best way to handle these objections is providing information that can help them understand more about how network marketing works. Use Feel, Felt, Found.  With any objection, say I know how you feel….,  I felt the same way and what I found out is…  It is comforting to people when you empathize with them and reassure them that you know how they feel.  If they are still negative, don’t waste your time. People can sense when you are overly eager and that can be a giant turn off.  I don’t try to convince people that they need to to do this.  If you feel like you are pushing a boulder up the hill, let the boulder come back down and move on to the NEXT.  We are looking for people who are open.  That’s it.

Try the “take away” too.  That goes like this:  “This may or may not be for you.”  That gets people wondering well, why wouldn’t it be for me.  And most of all, relax and have fun.  You will attract and draw the people you need to you for your business.  It takes time.  If you give it the time and learn the activities, you will be rewarded.

Be patient and strive to find people who are positive. It’s time to live your dreams!

Smart Goals for 2015: Get Your Year Going!

How to improve your life in one year…

2014 was a whirlwind! I traveled all over the world to Italy, China, Hawaii, Florida and Canada. My business grew exponentially and I was able to bring many people to new levels of success. By the end of the year I was ready to set more smart goals for myself and take my success to the next level.

I started my 2015 by setting smart goals in order to make this best year for my business and myself. I focused in on what didn’t work for me and what did. Are you wondering how to set smart goals for 2015? Do you want to know how to improve your life in one year? Here are 6 of my best tips for you!

1.Be realistic.

One very important aspect to setting goals is being realistic. Whether it is losing weight or increasing profits for your business, setting smart goals means setting realistic goals. Set yourself up for success. If you want to lose weight, start with 5 or 10 pounds, not 30. You want to set your goal somewhere in between, that way it is a challenge, but not impossible.  Set your big kahuna goal too – just give it a realistic timeframe.

2. Be specific.

Make specific goals for yourself. If you want to set smart goals for your business, write down exactly how you plan to achieve that. For example, if you want to add 20 new people to your mlm business, schedule out how many people you plan to get each week and day. Also come up with a game plan on how to acquire them. Maybe that means sending 10 text messages a day or 10 phone calls. Put all of this on a timeline with a deadline and check your achievements off as you go!  I love to check things off a list.  I know I am a bit of a geek about it.

3. Really commit yourself.

This is HUGE! You can’t put half your energy in and expect full results. I like to start my day off reading inspirational quotes from entrepreneurs and business leaders. Sometimes that little push keeps my commitment strong. And always ask yourself..”Do I want this as bad as the air I breathe?”  What we really want, we go after.

4. Visualize yourself achieving the goal.

I once heard from a sports psychologist that one of the most important behaviors professional athletes had was visualizing success. Basketball players that constantly pictured themselves winning and ran through mental scenarios were much more successful. This applies to all of us! Picture yourself where you want to be everyday and success will follow.  I do this often.  It may sound corny, but it really works.

5. Be positive.

There will be times we fail to meet a deadline. Life gets in the way. Kids, pets, husbands wives, you name it, we all get distracted at times. The most important thing is not giving up when we have a set back. Always stay positive. Thinking negatively will just attract negativity!  The ones that win are the ones that get back up and get back on track.

6. Reward yourself.

Treat yourself! When you reach a goal, no matter how big or small, give yourself a little reward because YOU DESERVE IT! Your reward could be a nice meal out or just taking a walk after a long day of working. This step definitely helps with the commitment step! 😉  I love to treat myself to a massage or a romantic dinner out with my husband when I achieve a goal.

I just got back from an incredible mastermind event with Ray and Jessica Higdon in Destin Beach, Florida.   On the way there, the driver talked about how the beach ranked right up there with the beaches in Maui.  Coming from California and having traveled to Maui quite a few times, I have to say I was a bit skeptical.  So when I arrived at the hotel, I unpacked and went to the beach.  It is an AMAZING beach.  Gorgeous emerald green water, great temperature of the water and the whitest and softest sand ever.  The beach is my happy place.  I have been able to go to beaches all over the world and I have to say the driver was right, this beach ranks up there with the very best of the best.

Network Marketing Tip:  It is so worth it!

Our 15 year old daughter told my husband the other day that I was so lucky to get to travel the way I do.  She is right.  I am lucky, I am blessed and I am very grateful.  But you know that saying, the harder I work, the luckier I am?  Well, I feel that way too.  I am actively creating my life.  This is by design.  I was in corporate America for over 20 years and just got really tired of working for a boss, of helping them make a lot of money and especially tired of someone telling me how many weeks vacation I got to take.  It just wasn’t enough!  So I started thinking about how I could design my life and what would that look like.  I created dream boards and I wrote down exactly what I wanted my life to look like.  A day in the life of Kathleen.  A perfect day in the life.  Write it down.  Who are you with?  Where are you?  What does your house look like?  Who are you helping?  Visualizing what you want is the first step.  Getting clear on what you want is key.

Network Marketing Tip: Go for it!

That’s a great place to start to create your dream life.

Then you need to surround yourself with people who have what you want.  Who are happy, who are excited about life, who have what you want and who inspire and motivate you.  I just spent 3 days with a mastermind group that challenges me, that pushes me and that I can learn from.  Some of our friends and family are trying -without meaning to, to hold us back.  We can still love them, but remember we are the sum total of the 5 people we spend the most time with!  Always be willing to learn.  Put yourself out there to get what you want.  It does take effort to really create your dream life.  And it is so worth it!  I am very grateful that my Father gave me the love of travel and the love of learning.  I am so grateful that I am on a path to follow my dreams.  I love that I get to help and inspire other people to dream bigger.

One of the best things you can do to follow your dreams and my very best network marketing tip is to include in your daily practice, time every day to read your affirmations and time to be inspired and to learn.  How that works for me is I journal every morning including time to read my affirmations and then I read my affirmations on my iphone at night before I go to sleep.  So that those positive thoughts are in my head (instead of some of the scenes in Scandal…)  And I also spend at least 30 minutes almost every day of the week listening to a positive message or reading from a book that inspires me and motivates me.  MINDSET is everything when it comes to being in the place where you can create your dream life.  So do everything you can every day, to enhance your current mindset.  Let go of what is stopping you and holding you back.  And if you are in network marketing, you have one of the best business models that exist, to create your dream life.

Network Marketing Tip: It is worth it!

Here is a quick video I took as I was leaving the beautiful beach of Destin, Florida.  Follow your dreams.  Go for it.  I can promise you, it is worth it.  Think in terms of what you will be able to do and who you can help by becoming the person that creates their dream life!
